Reflection 8

On 21st April we learned on the topic informative tool. It is the applications that provide large amount of information in various formats such as text, graphics, sound, or video. Examples include tools and information resources of the existing multimedia encyclopedia of the internet. Informative tools are vitally for the students to encourage exploration, think critically, develop research skills and learn to integrate relevant information. Advantages of using ICT as an informative tools are;

·         Learn to integrate relevant ideas.

·         Learn to analyze the information.

·         Develop information search skills.

·         Enhance critical thinking.

·         Learn to evaluate resources on the internet.

As an educator it is very essential that we must provide an information, reference and content for the students in the beginning or during or after the activity. Moreover, teacher should critically analyze, synthesize and manipulate information provided. Teacher should ask and encourage the students to construct their knowledge and meaning. Moreover teacher should let the students to write their understanding on the information provided.

Reflection 9 Informative Tool

  We learnt about informative tools, their examples, characteristics, and how to use them into classroom learning in today's session. Informative tools are applications that supply learners with large stores of information/content. Multimedia encyclopedias and internet-based resources are examples of informative tools. Informative tools are used in our classrooms because they allow students to investigate, think critically, improve their skills, give learning materials, and assist students in evaluating resources.
